Twenty Six years ago, this very day
A baby girl was born with much struggle
But determined, she was, to have her way
And on her mother’s cheek she would snuggle.
Learning this mother, nine long months, she spent
The movements, voice, and beating of her heart
She studied all details, this time had lent
Knowing one day, a time would come to part.
A different life in store for her when,
separate, yet somehow still connected
Some memories would be forgotten then,
While many new ones would be detected.
Full circle, life has brought this baby girl
Waiting now, to give birth to another
A new life full of hope, soon to unfurl
From daughter to wife, she’s now a Mother.
